About the speakers: 

Gabrielle Kohlmeier

As the general counsel for half of the US Verizon Consumer Market, Gabrielle is a core member of the Market President leadership team and primary legal counsel for all Verizon retail stores. At Verizon, Gabrielle leads organizational transformation projects, is a founding member of the Artificial Intelligence Policy cross-functional team, as well as a long term leader and activator on Verizon’s Global PPLS Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Council. She is also a co-host of the Lifting Up podcast.

Externally, Gabrielle is one of 12 governing officers of the American Bar Association Antitrust Section (~10,000 member org), AI Task Force co-chair, and ABA Commissioner on Women. She sits on several nonprofit boards as director or advisory board member, including the Women's Excellence Network (WEN) and HerHuddle, and created a coalition focused on inclusive tech policy. Gabrielle volunteers, raises funds, or spearheads various STEM programs for girls and initiatives focused on advancing women and other underrepresented communities.

Amy Yeung

Amy Yeung is former VP, Deputy General Counsel at Sallie Mae (F1000, NASDAQ: SLM). She led a team responsible for areas including environmental, social and governance (ESG), including corporate philanthropy and the management of the Sallie Mae Fund, a 501(c) (3), mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and divestitures, technology innovation, privacy and cybersecurity.  Prior to Sallie Mae, Amy served in senior leadership and executive roles at companies such as Lotame, Comscore, Dataminr and ZeniMax Media, in private practice at WilmerHale, and clerked with the Delaware Court of Chancery. Amy Yeung holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago.  

In 2023, Amy was recognized in the Corporate Counsel Business Journal’s inaugural “50 Women to Watch,” recognizing change-makers and influence in regulatory environments of leaders within their respective business and communities.  Amy also received in 2021 the Corporate Counsel: Women, Influence and Power in Law: Thought Leadership award, focusing on leadership in the legal industry.

Amy serves as Past Chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Law Department Management Network, a member of the Development Committee for the U.S. – Japan Council and recently completed her term as a board member of the Duke University Alumni Association.  As a result of her leadership and innovation in the legal industry, Amy was recently inducted as a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management.
