Make a difference with the WBA by giving back, strengthening community connections, and supporting initiatives that make a difference for our natural environment.
Join the Young Lawyers Sub-Committee for vegetation cleanup on the Mount Vernon Trail. The event is hosted through the Friends of Mount Vernon organization. We will be removing invasive vegetation and picking up trash near the entrance to the trail. No special skills are required, and the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail will teach us how to help.
Volunteers may perform some of the following work:
- Using pruners and loppers to cut vegetation
- Using hand saws to cut tree branches
- Sweeping or using a leaf blower
- Hauling away vegetation
- Picking up trash
Make sure to bring water and appropriate clothing! In addition to registering with the WBA, please also reserve a spot with the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail. While the organization knows our group is coming, they require individual registration. Membership dues are nonrefundable.
Unless otherwise specified, event cancellations must be made two business days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. Attendee substitutions are permitted.
By completing purchases with us you agree to have your Credit card and personal information securely stored as part of a payment profile within a 3rd party payment gateway. This securely stored payment profile will be used, when authorized, for automated recurring payments and will allow for easier and faster checkouts. No credit card information is stored within Member365 (the WBA's website vendor) and all payment data is accessed by way of a secure API. Under no circumstances do we share credit card or personal details.
Who can access the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia member portal?
Please note that the WBA member portal is to be used by members of WBA only. Certain workspaces within the member portal will be tailored for and restricted to certain membership types; access to these areas will be determined and approved by WBA staff. The Content that is displayed in your member portal will automatically vary based on your user / membership type.
What can be posted?
