Please join us for a lunch and learn experience with Mother’s Outreach Network—an organization at the forefront of empowering black mothers and uplifting families facing economic hardship. This virtual gathering will shine a spotlight on the resilience and challenges of mothers in this community, who continue to confront some of the highest poverty rates and systemic barriers in our country. Through innovative programs focused on employment, tax assistance, and housing support, Mother’s Outreach Network is driving real change and offering hope for a brighter future.
During this session, you’ll gain firsthand insight into the history and social context that have shaped this marginalized group and understand the mission and impact of Mother’s Outreach Network, learning how their initiatives—ranging from mutual aid and policy advocacy to community lawyering—are making a tangible difference. Whether you’re an attorney or a community member, this is your chance to connect, collaborate, and discover meaningful ways to get involved. Join us to explore more ways to give back to the community and volunteer with impactful projects; engage with passionate leaders, and become part of a movement that’s changing lives and strengthening our community.

Membership dues are nonrefundable.
Unless otherwise specified, event cancellations must be made two business days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. Attendee substitutions are permitted.
By completing purchases with us you agree to have your Credit card and personal information securely stored as part of a payment profile within a 3rd party payment gateway. This securely stored payment profile will be used, when authorized, for automated recurring payments and will allow for easier and faster checkouts. No credit card information is stored within Member365 (the WBA's website vendor) and all payment data is accessed by way of a secure API. Under no circumstances do we share credit card or personal details.
Who can access the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia member portal?
Please note that the WBA member portal is to be used by members of WBA only. Certain workspaces within the member portal will be tailored for and restricted to certain membership types; access to these areas will be determined and approved by WBA staff. The Content that is displayed in your member portal will automatically vary based on your user / membership type.
